Step 1. Spread the glue thin then spear the ties with an exacto #11 blade. Place the tie in position and hold it down with your other finger. Step 2. Pull the exacto from the tie and press the tie in the glue. Be sure to leave space in the wood ties where the PC ties are on the turnout.
Step 3. After the glue has dried, lightly sand the tops of the ties to be sure their tops are even. Step 4. Now spike the turnout in place. Spike on both sides of the rail at five different positions.
Step 5. Ok so far?
Now trim the ends of the longer wood ties to line up with the PC tie lengths.
The finished turnout with rail and ties is now ready for a little paint and touch-up
Add some ballast and you have an excellent looking ... flawlessly performing turnout
