Railway Engineering Switch Machine

Rotor Motor The slow motor machine $16.00

The Rotor Motor Switch Machine is designed to install easily underneath the railroad table. First you drill a small 1/32 inch hole down through the table exactly 3/8ths of an inch away from the 1/32nd hole that you drill in the throw bar (the moveable tie that's attached to the points) We recommend that you put this on the outside of the rail away from view.
Now slip the pre-bent throw-rod (.025 spring steel) down through the hole. Put a piece of masking tape on the rod to hold it down. Insert the switch machine onto the rod sticking out the bottom of the table. Fasten the machine with the screw provided. Bend the excess rod straight thru the slot in the side of the switch machine brass tube.
Now the Electrical....... Rotor Motor will run on a standard DC power-pack. The speed control will make the rotor motor fast or slow .... your choice. Hookup one wire on the Motor and one on the diodes. 5 volts DC max. .... keep it slooooowww. -DO NOT USE AC
..............or ............ Hook one wire from the center of your DPDT switch to the two diodes on the Rotor Motor. Hook the motor wire to the common return to the Transformer. That's it your done. A little three volt transformer is all you need to power these switch machines.
