Hooking up DCC stationary decoders
|
Digitrax DS51K1 hook-up:
Simply insert a 22ohm resistor in series with the orange lead from the decoder to the diodes on the Rotor Motor and hook the gray wire from the decoder to the motor lead on the Rotor Motor |

The switch-it puts out 30 miliamps 12 volts. This is enough to run a relay from radio shack part #275-278 SPDT PC Relay You need one 1amp diode in between the switch-it and the relay coil. The relay output hooks to the diodes on the Rotor Motor and the transformer. You can use a small 4,5,6 volt transformer 300 milliamps or larger to power the Rotor Motor. |

Switch-CAT (NCE) hook-up:
Simply insert a 22ohm resistor in series with the lead from the decoder to the diodes on the Rotor Motor and hook the other lead from the decoder to the motor lead on the Rotor Motor Be sure you set the CV's for constant on instead of momentary |
